Facilities, teachers etc. okay, the ideas behind the HKU-approach are fine. Only, I sometimes felt a lack of team spirit and the school being a place of buzzing creativity.

My opinion is that your own effort outweighs the rating of your school. In the end you, in being a student, are responsible for what you learn.

you have to have a lot of self discipline to get through this education, because you are quite free in everything you do. It's a bit chaotic and sometimes, and i would have liked some more lessons in presentation and bussiness practice. but overall it was ok, lot of possibilities etc.

The school was good, a bit too strict when it comes to comic artstyles tho. But I guess thats something most art schools have in common.

Ik vond de HKU een interessante school en heb er veel geleerd. Vooral over wat voor kunst ik zelf wil maken.

The HKU offers absolute freedom to work, huge studios and chaotic organization. Students need lot of self-discipline and motivation to go through this study. Very little attention is given to the presentation of works.

Het bepalen van “de kwaliteit” van deze school is erg moeilijk voor mij, vanwege het feit dat ik weinig tot geen ervaring heb, met andere academisch. Dus hoewel ik deze school vrij hoog acht, mijn waardering is meer berust op een emotie dan op echte kennis.
Deze emotie is een samenzwering geweest tussen een beslissing en een bepaalde tijd. Hier is de academie mijn proces ten goede gekomen.
