| Syscapes # Interlude is a motion graphics short film which illustrates the outcome of a body of research focusing on experimental 3D animation. It uses diagrammatic metaphors to represent a spatio-analytical take on political power and social hierarchies. The work attempts to graphically articulate several conceptual considerations, ranging from Jared Diamond’s historical materialism or Giorgo Agamben’s ‘Homo Sacer’ to Galloway & Thacker’s protocological views on biopolitics, while at the same time exploring the expressivity and spatial cinematics of computer game design.
