| Concept of Examen: |
| book (60p. 28cm x 21cm, printed on glossy paper), posters (128cm x 89.5cm):
I wanted to do something humoristic, ironic and sarcastic but also something what makes us think about...(politics, consumption, things happening arround the world, etc...). So i started to collect a lot of informations. I sketched lot of simple picture-ideas, first black and white, very rough in my sketchbooks. Then from time to time i tried to work them out in a specific aestethic which fits the best for each theme..(pixel, silkprint, collages,...) I did the pictures as posters (128cm x 89.5cm) which i hanged in the public to create a dialog between the poster and the area.. In the book I created the dramaturgy with doubles-page spreads and the paging. As a contrast to the public posters I wanted to create the pictures with as little as possible typographical elements..so just "symbolic informations".. I this work I wanted to exhaust the way to do illustration. |
